🌞 What to do in Brussels in June 2026? Our guide to making sure you don't miss anything during the most beautiful month of the year

Updated on May 17, 2026 by Pierre
June is le This is the month when Brussels is at its best. Terraces are finally open for good, the days stretch until 22 pm, festivals are back, and everyone seems to be in a better mood. Here's what's in store, and our top picks not to be missed.
🎶 Fête de la Musique: 4 days of free concerts everywhere (June 18-21)
Our absolute must-have of the month. From Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June 2026is the 42e edition of the Fête de la Musique, and as every year, it's Free, everywhere in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, on the occasion of the summer solstice.
Hundreds of concerts across all genres: folk, pop/rock, jazz, soul, rap, RnB, choirs, brass bands, electronic music… Each Brussels municipality organizes its own program. Our advice: don't limit yourself to just one municipality. Plan a route. A classical concert in Uccle, a jazz after-work session in Saint-Gilles, a brass band performance in Sablon, an electronic music set in Schaerbeek. That's exactly how the Fête de la Musique is best experienced.
Le Cinquantenaire Park It traditionally hosts the major Brussels music scenes, and the full program is published on fetedelamusique.be. Special mention goes to what we love: the local cultural centers that showcase emerging talents we would never have discovered elsewhere.
🎟️ Everything is freeNo reason to stay home.
🌍 Couleur Café: the 35th edition promises to be monumental (June 26-28)
The big musical event at the end of the month. From Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026, the festival Coffee color come back for her 35e edition au Osseghem Park, at the foot of the Atomium.
You know the atmosphere: 75,000 people expected, 6 stages, and that unique mix of hip-hop, afrobeats, reggae, soul, funk, dub and electro that makes Couleur Café one of the most diverse and joyful festivals in Europe.
As for programming 2026That's some serious stuff: 🎤 Rema (Nigerian Afrobeats star) 🎺 Ezra Collective (the London jazz quintet) 🎵 Pongo, Danny Ocean, Amaarae, Keblack 🎧 Stand High Patrol, Greentea Peng, Thee Sacred Souls, Gaz Mawete, Jamz Supernova
And many more. Our advice: buy the 3-day pass If you can, Friday is often underestimated, and that's when you'll catch Ezra Collective at sunset. Magical 🌅
🎟️ Tickets on couleurcafe.be 🚆 Great deal: the SNCB is offering a round-trip Event Train Ticket at -40% Tickets to Brussels-Midi or Schaerbeek for festival-goers. Available for collection from June 3rd.
🚴 The Bike Parade returns every Friday
More confidential, more insider, but we love it: the Roller and Bike Parade returns for the summer season, every Friday evening From June to September. The concept? Dozens, sometimes hundreds of cyclists and rollerbladers cross Brussels together, under police escort, a different route each week.
It's free, it's friendly, and it's a different way to see the city. And it's open to everyone, even those who aren't particularly athletic (we saw grandparents on tandem bikes, and children on balance bikes accompanied by their parents). The starting point is usually Place Poelaert or Mont des Arts. Check the exact schedule on the Belgian Cycling Tours social media.
☀️ Other events we're keeping an eye on
Some more discreet meetings that are definitely worth noting:
- 🏛️ Festival Bruxellons! starts in June and runs until September — open-air theatre in magnificent settings (Karreveld Castle in particular).
- 🌈 The days get longer until June 21st (summer solstice) — the sun sets around 22pm, perfect for drinks on the heights (Mont des Arts, KBR esplanade, Sablon terrace).
- 📚 And don't forget that the Festival of the New European Bauhaus organised by the European institutions also takes place in June, with 5 days of conferences, workshops and installations open to the public (info on visit.brussels).
🌸 And the Ommegang? Book now for early July
A slight detour in time, but we're talking about it because Tickets sell out quickly and you need to act now.. Ommegang 2026 will be held Wednesday 1st and Friday 3rd July on the Grand-Place. 1 200 participants, 1,800 costumes, 47 folk groups, 48 horses from the Federal Police, and a spectacular reenactment of the Joyous Entry of Charles V in 1549.
The historical procession is registered in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Since 2019. Tickets between €45 and €85 depending on the stand, on ommegang.be. The best categories sell out in a few days, so now is the right time.
🍦 Summer rituals to resume from June
Apart from events, June is also the time when we resume our little Brussels summer rituals:
🍨 Go and try an ice cream at Gelateria Giotto (The 2026 world champion, we talked about it here)
Picnic in the Bois de la Cambre or Tenbosch Park as soon as the weather is nice
(I.e. Flea market at Place du Châtelain Wednesday evening (already overcast)
(I.e. A kayak trip on the canal with Brussels by Water
🚴 A bike ride in the Sonian Forest a Sunday morning
🍷 A drink on a terrace at the North Sea Saturday noon (Sainte-Catherine institution)

🎯 Our favorite of the month
If we had to choose just one: the Fête de la Musique on Saturday evening, June 20thYou hop on your bike, leave home, cycle through three municipalities, pass five different brass bands, and end up somewhere in a park where people are playing jazz until midnight. If that's not Brussels bliss, I don't know what is! 🤍
