We were telling you about it: SUPERThe new indoor play area for children aged 1 to 6 opens on May 5, 2026 at the Gare Maritime, on the Tour & Taxis site. But beyond its wooden design and educational approach, it's also a place that truly changes the lives… of parents.

While the children play, the parents relax.

And good news: As we've already mentioned, the Tour & Taxis food court is definitely worth a visit. Now the experience becomes even more interesting.

SUPER is located right next to the food court. Specifically:

  • another dedicated podium area allows you to keep an eye on the playing area
  • while enjoying a coffee, lunch or brunch
  • among the wide range of food options we had already recommended

The dilemma between surveillance and relaxation is over.

"The idea for SUPER was born from a very simple observation: there was a lack of a place where toddlers could play freely in a setting designed for them, calm, safe, pretty, while parents could take a breather," explains Maria Coenen.
"But we wanted to go further. To allow parents to rediscover those little pleasures that we sometimes put on hold."

A concept that goes beyond Brussels

SUPER isn't limited to just one place. It's also a mobile and modular concept.

The famous wooden cubes can be:

  • rented for events
  • installed in festivals
  • integrated into hotels, shopping centers or cultural venues
  • used both indoors and outdoors

The objective? Making any space more welcoming for families, without compromising on aesthetics or gameplay quality.

“As a mother and entrepreneur, I always looked for this kind of place but never found it. So I built it,” Maria Coenen continues.
"I want to prove that we can create challenging, beautiful and accessible playing spaces, and that this model can spread far beyond Brussels."

A new family-friendly address to try

With its minimalist, educational and modular approach, SUPER ticks all the boxes:

  • ✔️ Children stimulated without being overstimulated
  • ✔️ Relaxed parents
  • ✔️ an aesthetically pleasing place (finally)
  • ✔️ evolving concept

Clearly, this already smells like the future must-visit spot for young Brussels families.
