It is THE event of the week, and it starts in 3 days. From Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June 2026is the 42nd Fête de la MusiqueAnd like every year, it's everywhere, it's free, and that's exactly what makes June in Brussels so special 🎵

We've reviewed the full program for the Brussels Region. Here's everything you need to know to make sure you don't miss anything this week, plus our real insider favorites.

The heart of the celebration: the 50th Anniversary on June 19th and 20th

On the main stage, we are expecting, in particular:

Sunday is the icing on the cake. Two highlights at BOZAR:

🎵 The Bruegel Cultural Centre Block Party

On Sunday afternoon, the Bruegel Cultural Centre (in the Marolles district) organizes a Block Party which showcases sounds dub, hip-hop, jazz and baile funkA completely different vibe from the Cinquantenaire, much more neighborhood-like, perfect for ending the weekend in chill mode 💃

After more than 10 years of following the Fête de la Musique in Brussels, here's what we recommend without hesitation:

🎤 Thursday, June 18 — Soft launch in cafes

Thursday is the most underrated day of the Festival. Many live music venues kick off the festivities with acoustic sets. Take the opportunity to visit theArchduke (rue Antoine Dansaert) which is organizing an evening dedicated to Cleo Records labelIntimate jazz vibe, exactly what we love 🎷

🔥 Friday, June 19 — Fiftieth anniversary for the start

Friday night, heading to the CinquantenaireThe crowds aren't at their peak yet, the light is perfect around 20-21 pm, and that's when you'll catch them. The Jungle or Mezerg in ideal conditions 🌅

🎶 Saturday, June 20 — The big night

If you could only keep one, it would be Saturday evening at the Cinquantenaire Between 20pm and 23pm. That's the absolute peak: Orlane, Lovelace, JeanJass, Cleliaand an amazing atmosphere. Arrive early if you want to be at the front.

🎼 Sunday, June 21, noon — Classical music at BOZAR + Block Party at Bruegel

The perfect combo. You start at BOZAR at 3pm for the free BNO concert (15 hours), then walk down to the Marolles for the Block Party. Summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and you cross Brussels to the sound of music. A foolproof recipe 🤍
