The Rooms: the art fair that transforms Mix Brussels into galleries

Brussels loves unconventional formats, and The Rooms is proof of that. For its second edition, this unique fair confirms its ambition: to offer the capital an art and antiques fair conceived differently, more free, more intimate, and above all, more accessible.
An art fair conceived by and for galleries
Behind the project are two prominent figures in the art world: Patrick Mestdagh, president of ROCAD (the Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers and Art Galleries of Belgium), and gallery owner Sébastien Janssen. Their shared vision? A fair conceived by and for galleries, fostering direct encounters between dealers, collectors, and enthusiasts, while also appealing to a wider audience: the curious, the newcomers, and aspiring collectors who dream of stepping into a gallery without intimidation.
Mix Brussels, a modernist gem in Watermael-Boitsfort
The setting alone is worth the trip. The Rooms takes over the Mix Brussels, a four-star hotel and club housed in the former modernist headquarters of Royale Belge. This iconic 1960s building, nestled in a verdant setting in Watermael-Boitsfort, has become one of the city's most unique addresses. Its interior design, by Belgian designer Lionel Jadot, blends boldness and refinement, an ideal backdrop for showcasing the artworks. This year, the fair occupies two wings on the 4th and 5th floors: for a few days, some thirty galleries and art dealers transform the hotel rooms into veritable exhibition spaces.
From contemporary art to archaeology: a great diversity
True to its open-minded approach, The Rooms brings together a wide variety of specialties: contemporary art, modern art, decorative arts, jewelry, ancient art, early period art, non-European art, archaeology, and classical art from Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Each exhibitor tailors their presentation to their room, offering visitors a much more direct connection with the works and the people who present them.
The Mood Rooms: barber, Marcolini ice cream and surprises
Beyond the galleries, the event offers some delightful interludes with its Mood Rooms, spaces designed for discovery and conviviality. Among them, you'll find the Bayer & Bayer barber shop, as well as... Pierre Marcolini will be offering ice cream during the fair. Other collaborations and surprises are expected to round out the program. Lionel Jadot will also be designing a dedicated room, further extending his influence on the venue.
Conferences in partnership with Puilaetco
For those with a more inquisitive mind, a series of conferences is also planned, organized in partnership with the private bank Puilaetco. The topics will be announced later.
