Its origin marked several generations of young and old. LEGO was invented in 1932 by Danish Ole Kirk Christiansen. The latter wanted to offer an innovative and sustainable construction game for children. Did you know that the word LEGO is actually the contraction of two Danish words? " leg well which means "play well".
The LEGO as you know it today was born in 1949, in the post-war period. This is where the LEGO made its ABS plastic brick appearance (the one still used today). Since then, LEGO has become an emblematic company in popular culture, with derivative products, video games and amusement parks.
