Since June 29, 2015, the pedestrian zone in the center of Brussels around the Grand-Place has been expanded. In total, 1.000 road signs have been changed. Needless to say, this hasn't always pleased motorists.
However, it is possible to access the area temporarily or permanently for deliveries. In this case, to access the pedestrian zone of the center with your vehicle, you will need to obtain either a pass, a code, or an electronic badge.
The pedestrian zone is therefore officially closed to car traffic and to cyclists if conditions do not permit it. However, it is still possible to drive to the vicinity of the pedestrian zone.
However, do not flee the centre of Brussels; if you need to go to the UGC de Brouckère or the Théâtre de la Monnaie , it is always easy to park in the centre of Brussels.
Where to park in the pedestrian zone of Brussels Centre?
To park in Brussels' pedestrian zone, the easiest option is to park your vehicle in a private car park . Parking generally costs €2,40 per hour. If you're going to the UGC cinema, you can purchase a parking pass for approximately 3 hours during the duration of your film.
1. Brussels Grand-Place car park
If you have to go next to the Grand Place in Brussels, the easiest way is to park your car in the car park located a stone's throw from the Central Station and the Grand Place.

2. Parking Monnaie (Brussels Centre)
Just steps from the pedestrian zone in the center of Brussels , this parking lot is located at the intersection of the tourist center and Rue Neuve, a short walk from Place de Brouckère . If you're going to the Théâtre de la Monnaie , the Monnaie parking lot is essential. Access to the parking lot is via Rue du Fossé aux Loups.
