Do you know the show Be Belgian and shut up ? More than a tradition, since 1997, that is to say, for the 22nd time in Belgium, a total show full of talents: imitations, sketches, parody, songs... The Comedy Show Be Belgian and Shut Up reveals the comic potential of our country, Belgium, often surreal.

The show as a whole is full of talent : imitations, sketches, parody, songs… On stage, they know how to do almost everything with energy and generosity. They make fun, they make you laugh and think sometimes (but not too much). Friends of politics, the actors hit everyone and miss no one.

Some situations may seem complex, highlight power relations, crises, rivalry PS-PTB, minority governments but also the environment, Dutch, justice or even the famous Brexit … Sometimes the result may seem spicy, but overall the result will seem funny and relevant.

This year, as the main theme, the actors put forward the fact that Belgium may not hold out. We have renovated the Belgian house so much, but in the end did the politicians do it from top to bottom?

On the program, more new characters appeared on the Belgian political scene in 2019, new situations as well as themes not yet addressed in the 22 previous editions. Of the parodied songs that hit the mark, beautiful voices and vocal harmonies, amazing imitations, background, surrealism, comic of situation, intelligent, fine texts, hard-hitting…and some nonsense!

Where to watch the show be Belgian and shut up 2019 in Brussels?

If the historic place of historical performance, the Saint-Michel theater, has definitively closed its doors, the show Sois Belge et Tais-Toi does not abandon its Brussels audience and rebounds in 2019 by moving to theat the Salle la Madeleine in the center of Brussels. What could be better than the very center of Brussels for a piece of Belgian theater ? This is where the twelve performances will be held this year.

For the occasion, the scenography will have been adapted to this splendid room. And to best welcome the spectators with, for example, formulas dinner-show with the emblematic restaurants of the surroundings or with the caterers of the Madeleine.
