In a previous article, we already talked about shops where you can buy wine in Brussels. Today, we're focusing more specifically on true wine lovers who enjoy enjoying it in cozy and unique settings.

Maguie opened its doors in Brussels in late 2023. If you haven't heard of Maguie yet, it's a natural wine bar nestled in the charming Parvis Saint-Gilles district. Sporting a Klein blue storefront and a black tiled facade, Maguie stands out with its deconstructed front terrace , illuminated by streetlights. Powder pink metal chairs, round wooden shelves, and folding benches create a relaxed atmosphere that's evident from the outside.

Crossing the large, half-open door, you discover an eclectic interior with an imposing granite bar at the entrance and a relaxed atmosphere. The industrial-style walls add an authentic touch, immediately affirming the friendly character of the place.

At the helm of Maguie are Marlene and Guillaume, a dynamic duo driven by a passion for good wine . Their selection of natural wines, favoring production as naturally as possible, takes center stage. Natural wines, with little or no added sulfites, are all the rage, and Maguie offers an affordable alternative with barrel wines at just €25 , equally delicious.

Maguie's concise menu features simple yet flavorful dishes: Vire andouille sausage, raw milk Tomme de Rouffigny cheese , homemade hummus , toasted hazelnuts , mackerel rillettes with spiced caramel , and green olive tapenade. Each dish is accompanied by delicious sourdough bread from Boulengier. The affordable prices, between €8 and €10 per plate, allow you to enjoy a pleasant evening without breaking the bank.

Among the must-tries, don't miss the 6 No. 3 "La Coutainvillaise" open sea oysters from Père Gus , directly from Normandy, at an irresistible price of €12.

In summary, although Maguie did not invent the concept of the natural wine bar, she offers a place to extend the evening, enjoy delicious small plates at reasonable prices, and return with pleasure.
