Wood of the Cambre
Wood of the Cambre
The Bois de la Cambre is designed on part of the Soignes forest in Brussels. In 1862 by E. Keilig, a German garden architect, landscaped this space in the English style. Its main idea imitates nature and is characterized by irregularity in the design of plantings and pathways. The Bois de la Cambre quickly became the social meeting place of the people of Brussels. Inside, you will find a dairy, a velodrome, the Théâtre de Poche, an artificial lake, a racecourse, and walks for riders.
Les bois de la cambre is one of the first things to do when moving to Brussels.
