Faced with the Coronavirus in Brussels, new solidarity projects are being created!

What a shit this Coronvirus! Everyone must stay at home, you can no longer see your friends or even go to work. Social contacts are cut off. Sadly, some are isolating. Yet, once the crisis is over, we will look over our shoulder and see that in fact, thanks to this crisis, men have come together. The containment helped the entrepreneurs with a heart of gold, to let their imagination speak, in order to help their neighbor ❤️

No need to wait for the crisis to be over to share them. Because today, these initiatives can really save lives. To share without moderation !

1. Show your neighbors that you are available to help them?

What a great initiative born from the initiative of Ccojb Coordinating Committee of Jewish Organizations of Belgium)! The idea is simple, but will probably bring joy to the hearts of those who cannot get out, for fear of catching or transmitting the virus. The idea fits on a single sheet of paper. It is in fact a a card to imprimer and place on your door or window. Thanks to this one, you will be able to indicate to your neighbors your coordinates so that they contact you. They will be able to cry out for help if needed. Services to  return may seem basic, but are in fact vital in this period of crisis and confinement: talk to someone, shopping , take out an animal of company…. If you have other ideas of how you can help, you can indicate it in the last box. Be careful, you obviously have to do this with the utmost caution with the hygiene measures recommended by the Belgian government.

2. From the hackathon to the mutual aid site: Covid-solidarity.org

He knew, in this rather difficult moment of crisis, that he could do something to help. However, he needed more people to think about it, to find solutions. It was therefore by posting a message on a Facebook group that Olivier Rousseaux launched a hackathon. Primary goal: to bring together developers and volunteers around a collaborative IT project against COVID-19. Today, the idea is alive! It even covers the whole of Belgium. The project even has the support of large retail stores such as Delhaize.

What is it about? Via the Covid-Solidatory website, volunteers offer people who cannot go outside create a social link with volunteers. Via the website, they can print and complete a shopping list form. They then place it in the entrance hall of their building for a volunteer neighbor. Conversely, it is also possible for a volunteer to proactively deposit empty forms in the mailboxes of his neighbors with his contact details. The amount of the races is advanced by the volunteer. This cannot exceed 35 euros. It is then reimbursed by bank transfer by the person who was in need. If you need more info, know that they have also activated their phone number: 02 808 96 54 or on the initiative's website

Citizen mutual aid is also where it happens… Via Resto19.be, you can either offer your help, but also ask for it. The site was launched recently and already has requests for help. Adam is not old. 40 years ago. However, he has a fever and has eaten nothing…. Ludivine, looking for tin cans, she lost her job... Julie offers to sew masks but has no fabrics for...  This is a great initiative to support and share without moderation. We hope there aren't any, but beware of potential scams all the same… These are still classified ads!

Barely a foot in the Belgian capital, Pierre launches "InsideBrussels.be", the idea is simple: "What to do? Where to go eat or have a drink?" Entrepreneur at heart, this is not his first project! Far from there. Like wine, with time the project improves! Pierre does not hesitate to share his favorites and his best addresses of Brussels restaurants that he could recommend to you with his eyes closed.
