Launched by the European Commission, the DiscoverEU program offers a unique opportunity to young Belgians aged 18: to travel for free across Europe this summer 2024. Here's how you can get your tickets.

An Exceptional Chance: Discover DiscoverEU and Go on an Adventure!

This summer, thousands of 18-year-olds will have the opportunity to travel for free by train across Europe thanks to DiscoverEU. The objective is to encourage them to explore the continent, to discover new languages, diverse cultures and to make enriching encounters.

How to Participate in DiscoverEU and Claim Your Free Ticket?

If you were born between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006, you can apply for one of the 900 free train tickets (among the 35.000 available) reserved for young Belgians. Take a six-question quiz on the European Youth Portal. Applications are open from 1April 6 at noon until April 30 at noon.

Travel Free: Enjoy 30 Days of European Adventure!

If you are selected, you will receive one of the free train tickets allowing you to travel to Europe for 30 days between July 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. You can plan your own route or take inspiration from existing routes.

Additional Benefits of DiscoverEU: Discount Card and More

In addition to the free train ticket, participants will receive a discount card offering more than 40,000 discount opportunities on public transport, culture, accommodation, catering, sports and other services in eligible countries.

The Conditions for Being Selected: Find Out Why You Should Apply!

DiscoverEU selects candidates based on their quiz answers. Those selected receive a ticket based on their ranking, within the limit of tickets available. This initiative aims to enable young people to better understand other cultures and European history, while improving their language skills. It is an experience that shapes young people by offering them an open mind and valuable skills.
