(Free) Sculptura Festival
Meet from Friday February 10 to Sunday March 12, 2023 to discover the very first SCULPTURA festival, at the Gare Maritime, on the site of Tours & Taxis.
“A Journey to Discovery”
This is the theme of the exhibition. (“A Journey to Discovery”). You understand, Sculpture #1 will highlight the art of carving. The program:
- a wide range of styles,
- monumental works,
- smaller works
- internationally renowned artists of all generations.
The festival aims to become an annual reference in the world of art at the international level. With this first edition, Sculptura strikes hard and wants to position itself in the foreground.
Brussels Sculpture Festival wants to be accessible and therefore attaches great importance to accessibility and inclusion. Cla can be seen in their ambition. Indeed, they want to install more sculptures in the city of Brussels in order to benefit those who live or work there.

The association wishes to take advantage of the revaluation of the canal zone to give art its full place in the public space of Brussels. They therefore chose the Gare Maritime to host this festival. A mythical place… if you don't yet know the former Tour & Taxis freight station, you should know that it has been magnificently restored. With its majestic halls 280 meters deep, the vault of which rests on slender cast iron pillars in the Art Nouveau style, this historic place will make a visit to Sculptura #1 a unique experience.
