The Ferris Wheel Place Poelaert: “The View Brussels«

Looking for the best place to get a bird's-eye view in Brussels? Not sure where to find a breathtaking panorama of the city ? Don't miss the brand new Ferris wheel at Place Poelart. Sometimes also called "The View," it's located right next to the Palace of Justice, at the top of the Marolles district.

If you've ever been there, you couldn't have missed the huge new Brussels Ferris Wheel. It was installed at the end of the square in early September 2019. With no less than 55 meters high, the Grande Roue Poelaert will offer you a breathtaking view of the capital and the Marolles.

Its creator, René Bufkens , is no amateur. Having believed in his project, this fairground operator, a man from a long line of fairground operators and passionate about funfairs, finally received the long-awaited authorization to install his fifth Ferris wheel. He placed it where he had always dreamed: Place Poelaert . About four years ago, he had acquired the Paris Ferris wheel. He ultimately installed it near the Gare du Midi, at the end of Avenue de Stalingrad in Brussels.

According to him, it offers "the most beautiful view of Brussels and its surroundings." This Ferris wheel is likely to attract many Brussels residents seeking romance. Tourists looking for the best view of Brussels will also be there.

What are the opening hours of the Ferris Wheel Place Poelaert?

The Poelaert Ferris wheel will be operational for several months. However, there is no indication yet that this attraction will be permanently approved. So, if you wish to participate in this trial period, don't miss your chance. You must visit before November 19, 2019.

After November 19, the wheel will first be moved to the " Winter Wonders 2019 " (Brussels Christmas Market located at Place Saint-Catherine) , and will be accessible from November 29, 2019. After evaluation, this "test" period could, as in other European cities, lead to a permanent installation.

Weather permitting, the Ferris wheel will be open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 23:00 PM.
