Each year of Japanese buses and thousands of visitors from four corners of the world make the trip to see the famous hal wood. If you live in Brussels and have never made the trip before, it's worth the detour! The Bois de Hal is located only 15 km from Brussels.

The flowering of Hyacinthe of this wood is one of the most awaited events by nature and plant lovers.  Thanks to this small violet and fragile flower, present by the thousand, the whole thing is transformed into an immense colored carpet. All come to photograph the blue carpet of hyacinths.

It's under the trees that a magic carpet of flowers with bells appears. There are still a few anemones as well. Do not miss the date, because this natural spectacle only lasts two to three weeks maximum. Also, if it were to rain too much, the flowers would settle. It is therefore better to come at the beginning of the season.

Don't be surprised, on the way to this blue dream, everyone came to savor:   regular joggers , walkers come for the first time, photographers off the trails in search of the right angle, family and children…. All come to admire the hyacinths that are out…

The "hyacinth festival" had been canceled for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So it will be popular this year

Flowering usually takes place from mid-April. But it depends on the weather.  It usually only lasts 2 or 3 weeks. to give you time to admire the carpet of flowers. To not miss the right moment, search for “bois de halle” on instagram, and wait to find photos of this year! You will find pictures as soon as tourists go there.

Little trick, to be able to better appreciate the shades of blue of these flowers. Best to get up early. With the sunrise, the colors are even more magnificent. Ditto if there is mist and sun. In addition, the earlier you are, the less people there will be…. Remember that visitors come by the thousands.
