What to do in Brussels on Sunday?

It's Sunday, you've seen and reviewed your DVD collection, finished all your books? Are you looking for a new adventure that will liven up your Sunday? InsideBrussels has searched for you all you could do in Brussels on Sunday.

1. Go shopping… on Sundays in Brussels

It's Sunday the shops are closed… Yes but no! Not all, but since 2015 stores have the right to open on certain Sundays. The commercial operation bears the code name «I shop on Sundays». It's all in the name! The stores of the famous rue Neuve – known for its shopping – will therefore be exceptionally open that Sunday. Please note, as far as Rue Neuve is concerned, it would not be every Sunday of the month, but only the first Sundays of each month.

If you're unlucky and it's not the first Sunday of the month, be aware that other art/deco stores open on Sundays. Go for a walk in the marolles on the side of the rue des foxes. Bead and jewelry stores are open on Sundays.

2. The Sunday flea market in the Marolles in Brussels

Every first Sunday of the month, around 40 vintage and second-hand exhibitors as well as more than 20 designers come to the splendid Halles Saint-Géry where the Brussels Vintage Market welcomes them.

From noon to 19 p.m. nearly 1000 visitors come to shop on Sundays in this original setting. It is also possible to have a drink with friends, have lunch on the terrace or eat a cupcake in a retro musical atmosphere.

Barely a foot in the Belgian capital, Pierre launches "InsideBrussels.be", the idea is simple: "What to do? Where to go eat or have a drink?" Entrepreneur at heart, this is not his first project! Far from there. Like wine, with time the project improves! Pierre does not hesitate to share his favorites and his best addresses of Brussels restaurants that he could recommend to you with his eyes closed.
