Royal Museum of Natural History Brussels (Ixelles)

The Museum of Natural Sciences is located near Leopold Park close to the buildings of the European Parliament. It is part of the RBINS: Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. Inside the museum, you can discover the largest collection of dinosaurs in Europe. In the Dinosaur Gallery, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus rex in flesh and bone will therefore be there. But that's not all. You can also contemplate gigantic sea lizards in the Mosasaur room: Ancient kings of the seas.

If the biodiversity interests you, don't miss the Galerie de l'Évolution. It invites you on an unforgettable journey through the history of life, based on more than 600 fossils and naturalized animals.

Other surprises await you, such as the Minerals Room and the Seashells Room and its aquarium of corals and tropical fish, or the Insects Room and its Vivarium. Do not miss "250 years of science", the permanent exhibition of the Musée des Scienes as well as the new gallery and the iguanodons of Bernissart (the specialty of the museum)

What is the specificity of the museum?

give yourself time to meet the famous Bernissart Iguanodons! They are located in Brussels in the largest Dinosaur Gallery in Europe. Also, gigantic predatory lizards will surprise you. Formerly, they skimmed the oceans, today they are located in the room of the Mosasaurs.

Have you heard of the Iguanodon Skeleton Collection? It is located in the dinosaur room. It is the essential specialty of the Museum. It will please young and old alike. It is in fact the largest dinosaur gallery in Europe. So you can't miss the statue at the entrance to the museum: the iguanodon. Just like Manneken Pis, his costume changes according to the news.

Do not miss this exceptional collection of dinosaurs. Nowhere else can you find so many dinosaur skeletons so well preserved in a museum. Alongside these, for the curious, the story of their discovery.
