Faithful to its tradition of presenting a dialogue between the cultures of the East and the West and reflecting its artistic programming, the Boghossian Foundation brings together Belgian and international artists, from East and West and from all generations. around this project.

This proposal operates a gender balance in its selection of artists in order to emphasize the Foundation's commitment to respect for the egalitarian values that are dear to it. The selection of Belgian artists or artists working in Belgium evokes the Foundation's unfailing support for national artists and the choice of a Lebanese artist and an Armenian artist recalls its vocation for dialogue with Eastern cultures.

Testimonials on the exhibition in the Bois de la Cambre

Here are the first impressions collected during the inauguration on Thursday, December 14,

John Boghossian

President of the Boghossia Foundation

“We are proud and happy of this large-scale cooperation with Brussels institutions, which allows us to spread our humanist message in the Bois de la Cambre, an invaluable green heritage. Art is the answer. Through art, we want to promote better mutual understanding and possible dialogues.

Pascal Smet,

(Secretary of State for the Brussels-Capital Region, in charge of Town Planning and Heritage)

“One of my priorities as Secretary of State in charge of Town Planning and Heritage is to develop an artistic policy in public spaces, parks and gardens. So when Jean Boghossian offered me his sculpture garden project in the Bois de la Cambre, I understood that we
We had a unique opportunity to connect culture and nature. Thus, we issued a planning permit authorizing the presence of sculptures in a listed park. We thus confirm that a listed property is not fixed and can actively participate in today's cultural life. This initiative will contribute to the international cultural influence of Brussels and is the natural extension of the exceptional work carried out and the success encountered by the Foundation since its installation in the Villa Empain. »

Delphine Houba,

Alderman for Culture at the City of Brussels:
“For the space of a year, the Bois de la Cambre will be transformed into an open-air artistic promenade. It is with great pleasure that the City of Brussels joins in this project accessible free of charge and at any time in this green setting. A stroll to discover six monumental works of art, created by artists from Belgium and elsewhere, three
women and three men… which will perhaps make you want to walk through the doors
of Villa Empain. »
