The café is even affiliated with the French-speaking Chess Federation of Belgium and participates in the National Interclub Tournaments of the Royal Belgian Chess Federation. It seems that the famous painter René Magritte was also a passionate chess player. Several times a week, he would take the tram to the center of Brussels to play his favorite game. For years, the Greenwich café welcomed hundreds of players like him to the heart of Brussels. Over time, the Greenwich café became filled with tourists and gradually deserted by chess enthusiasts. Among the cafés in the center of Brussels that chess players have flocked to is the famous Halles Saint-Géry. This café offers various activities, including a vintage market once a month. If you'd like to play a game of chess, the halls are open every day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM. You'll also find free newspapers there. Address: 1 Place Saint-Géry, 1000 Brussels
