Scorpio, the new roof terrace of the Basilix in Brussels
Since the arrival of the covid, young people are starting to find the time long. Some are beginning to be desperate and watching their best teenage years pass under their noses... Since May 2021, the active via has been gradually resuming, but deprived of bars for several months, discos are still not on the program. This strongly limits the festive moments. The expectation of the night sector is enormous, their suffering... In this context was born Scorpio.
If you are reading this, rest assured, this summer, it will be possible to party in Brussels. Rather than suffer, two discotheques are joining forces to launch a new concept, Bloody Louis and Dyoukes have decided to join forces to launch a new concept in Brussels during the summer.
A perfectly chosen place to party in Brussels
The founders of the project were looking for a place that was still unexploited, with few neighbors for noise, easy to access by car. This is on the border between Berchem-Sainte-Agathe and Ganshoren that SCORPIO came to rest. More exactly on the roof of the Basilix shopping center in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe.
But what is the name of this rooftop? Scorpio. It seems that it was chosen in honor of this animal that wakes up at night, the scorpion. Once inside, you may even see one. A representation, in the form of a 2 meter sculpture (signed Benny De Smet) is on site. It sits proudly in the center of the Brussels Rooftop of 700m².
Scorpio hopes to attract new audiences through attractive and eclectic programming. Scorpio intends to relaunch all the evenings that made the success of their former establishments: Afro and Latino evenings (for the Dyoukes), electro music (for the Bloody Louis)
More than just a bar, the Scorpio rooftop has an air of the Cote d'Azur
Once up. tables that look like marble, white banquettes, palm trees and even cushions bearing the name of a major champagne brand. This decoration, we owe it to the graphic designer Romain Garcin. In the evening, it wears the warm colors of the sunset.
Make no mistake, this is a much bigger concept than just a terrace. On the program, DJs, broadcast of Euro matches on a giant screen. It will even be possible via exceptional partnerships on the food side to eat something there. As some would say, the mayonnaise is taking, the evenings for this weekend at the end of June are already full.
An open-air disco that creates jobs in Brussels
Thanks to this ephemeral terrace opening at the end of June until the end of September, the organizers are giving hope to workers in the night sector. To welcome this beautiful world, about twenty seasonal jobs and fifty others will be created. This will cover the 700m² of rooftop, and accommodate up to 400 people in Brussels,
