Where to park in Brussels Centre?

Whether for work or for tourism, it is not easy to park in the center of Brussels. On weekdays, usually from 7 a.m., places are taken. Discover all our parking ideas for park your car and drive to the center of Brussels. We also offer ideas for not paying a parking meter.

1. Park at the Cinquantenaire for free

The fiftieth anniversary park is the privileged place of hundreds of Brussels residents. Few people know about it, because you can't see it from outside the park. There is however a parking space a few steps from the arches of the Parc du Cinquantenaire for park for free. There are about fifty free places. On weekdays, until 9:30/10 a.m. there are still free places. For reach the center of Brussels, nothing could be easier via the 2 metro stations nearby: Mérode (5 stations from Brussels Central) or cross the park to Schuman (4 stations from Brussels Central).

2. Park at the Heizel car park: safe and not overpriced

Undoubtedly the easiest and safest way to park in central Brussels: the Heizel car park. This car park remains very easy to access by car via the Belgian road network. There are more than 12.000 parking spaces available near P12. You can then take the metro or Tram 52 to the center. The journey will be approximately 20 minutes. Price per day: 6 euros.

3. Park a little further in Anderlecht… at your own risk

In some areas of Anderlecht, it is possible to park for free. However, pay attention to the different parking zones. Some are chargeable, others require parking for a maximum of 2 hours. In the streets near the Gare de Midi, so it is possible to park for free. But beware, this district is not the safest district of Brussels… Do not leave valuables in sight. Don't be paranoid, but still think about open your glove box once emptied to show that there is nothing to steal in your vehicle. Don't leave your iPhone and GPS cables and chargers in sight either. If you are ready to park there, you can therefore go to rue Bara, rue Brogniez, rue Rossini or rue Eloy in Anderlecht to try to find parking near the Gare du Midi.

4. Park in beautiful neighborhoods

If you are frightened by the idea that your car may be scratched (or a window broken in the worst case) around the Brussels-Midi guard, park your vehicle in the beautiful districts of Brussels and go to the Gare du Midi in Villa or Metro. Indeed, Brussels is not a huge city like Paris. In less than 30 minutes, you can reach the Gare du Midi by public transport. If you don't like public transport, you can also reach Brussels-Midi using taxis Collecto (cheaper than traditional taxis).

 5. Park in the Brouckère car park

Ideally located near Place de Brouckère, this will allow you to reach the pedestrian area.

 6. Park for free in Brussels: Transit parking

7 car parks called “transit car parks” will allow you to park for free at the gates of Brussels. From these car parks, it is very easy to take public transport which will take you to the destination of your choice. These car parks are not limited in duration and are accessible free of charge. Indeed, these car parks are considered as an extension of the public road and cannot be fenced off to be paid for.

7. Park near the pedestrian center

If you absolutely want to park in the center of Brussels and secure your vehicle in a private and guarded car park, you can easily always find a place in pedestrian car parks in Brussels center. In real time, indicators will show you the number of places remaining.
