It all started in Brussels in the pre-war period in the 30s, when Abbé Froidure, a young parish priest, created playgrounds for underprivileged children. To meet the demand of disadvantaged families in the working-class neighborhoods of Brussels, in the same spirit, he organizes a collection of furniture and clothes.
To men and women without resources or housing, Father Froidure also offers “solidarity housing”. In addition to sharing food and lodging, these men create their own jobs together, by collecting, sorting and reselling second-hand objects. Les Petits Riens were born! The success is remarkable and very quickly, furniture and clothes accumulate in the premises of the rue aux Laines and the rue d'Albania. .

Today, the association The Little Nothings » is a social economy company whose mission is to support people in difficulty so that they gain autonomy in a sustainable way.

You too can give! Thanks to the value of your clothing donations, Les Petits Riens develops social services for the benefit of disadvantaged people. These clothes can be put in the small-nothing containers to give them a second life.
