Collecto, cheap taxi in Brussels?

Broke after spending it all on your last outing? Are you on the sidewalk several kilometers from your home? If you have at least $5 in your pocket, you may not have to walk home. It is not a bus or a bicycle, but a Taxi: Collecto, the cheap taxi.

Collecto is your cheap shared taxi in Brussels. Indeed, you will not be alone in the Collecto because it will take other people on the way. In the end, a much less expensive addition. The race in Collecto in the street of the capital is fixed. For 5 euros,  these Collectos are available 7 days a week between 7 p.m. and 23 a.m. throughout the territory of the Brussels-Capital Region.

Warning, departure times are fixed. The departure of a shared taxi is scheduled on the hour or half past one (eg 1am, 1am, etc.), between 30pm and 23am (last departure). You must absolutely be present at the Collecto departure point at the time agreed with the telephone exchange. The Collecto taxi will take you 6 minutes at the latest after the scheduled meeting time.

If you are using the Collecto system for the first time, the race must be reserved at least twenty minutes before the desired departure time from the telephone exchange

The reservation of the Collecto taxi in Brussels is possible by telephone, automatic answering machine, sms, via a collecto app.

Note that the Collecto service is suspended on New Year's Eve on December 24 and 31.
