What products have we tested in the online store "The Great Waters"

For the realization of this article, the store made us discover via an internet delivery, some of their favorite products. We share them below with you. All of these products constitute a basket that you could even order and have delivered to a loved one in Brussels for a birthday or special occasion.

1. Belgian beers 

• Green Beer craft beer based on Orval yeast. Here is the result of a garden center contractor. He dreamed of designing a beer and had the recipe in his head, the result is Green Beer. Here, no preservative, no added sugar. Green Beer draws between 6 and 8°C – 100% natural. Slightly amber blond with a slight taste of bitterness at the start which disappears in the finish.
• Blacksmith Citra 4.5° – Bière du Chenois, Waterloo, the boutique district The Great Waters. The Citra is an IPA/lager session with a low alcohol content of 4,5%. It takes its name from the only variety of hops used for its manufacture: “citra”. This gives it flavors of grapefruit, lemons and other citrus fruits. The beer has a good bitterness which is above the Belgian market average given that it reaches 42 IBU. The malts that are used are Pilsen malt as well as wheat malt. Pilsen malt is used in a range of lagers and wheat malt is used in white beers.

2. Belgian gins and liqueurs, Belgian non-alcoholic gin

• Panda , a 100% organic Belgian gin. This is made with natural aromas of carefully selected fruits and plants. The recipe is the result of an almost perfect balance between lychee, cherry and the strong character of juniper berries. The Panda comes from an infusion of 7 certified organic plants (different roots and fruits such as juniper berry, lychee, orange peel, cherry, basil, rosemary and anise…. ) Panda Organic Gin is a pure concentration of aromatic richness. Ideal with with tonic such as Rhubarb+hibiscus or neutral tonic combined with spices such as star anise. Les Grandes Eaux can provide you with these spices and mix!
• Gemblue Gin : A premium double distilled gin with juniper berries, lime zest and cucumber. The packaging lives up to its content, and proudly displays a tribute to the city of Gembloux. It goes wonderfully well with neutral tonics which help to bring out all the flavors of this gin. Perfect with a neutral tonic such as Erasmus Dry (also Belgian) and spices such as cardamom.
• Gin without alcohol No Ghost in a bottle ginger delight : Belgium's first non-alcoholic gin produced from natural botanical distillates. With the creation of these “spirits”, which contain 0% sugar, salt and alcohol, here is finally an interesting alternative offered to this group of people who drink little or no alcohol, but love gastronomic delights! A symphony of classic botanicals and a hint of refreshing ginger results in a natural, unfiltered non-alcoholic drink. • Amaretto Noblesse is an organic liqueur with bitter almonds, low in sugar and produced in Belgium in a traditional way. It also respects the know-how of the Noblesse company created in 1882. The Amaretto Noblesse has a golden red color. Beyond the captivating smell of almonds, the nose develops flavors of cocoa and a vegetal bouquet. The palate evolves from the characteristic taste of bitter almonds to this delicate blend of cocoa and the plants that go into its composition.
• Buloo-Apero : Belgian aperitif without alcohol is a sparkling aperitif based on aromatic hops and citrus fruits. It is a surprising and refreshing combination of kombucha, rooibos, grapes, lemon leaf, cherry and herbs. 100% natural, low in sugar and without additives. Buloo/Brusq is an elegant, sparkling and 100% natural aperitif, without alcohol, preservatives or added sugar. Pure, healthy and rich in umami.     Organic Prosecco Cartemisia DOC 2018 Extra Dry: What sets Cartemisia apart from other Proseccos is the extra time the wine rests with its yeast. The yeast time gives the wine more texture and a longer taste. The method is reminiscent of the same method used for sparkling wine in Franciacorta and Trentino. Cartemisia matures well in bottles and can be kept for a few years. organic – Region: Italy – Veneto. Grape variety: 100% Glera.

• Gin Lord of Barbes: Distilled in a Stupfler copper still (the Rolls of stills) by Lord Philippe the Cellar Master, Lord of Barbès Gin is 100% artisanal, organic, and made in France. This Gin is distinguished by its subtle and fresh taste obtained by the distillation of wheat alcohol, juniper berries, monkey bread (baobab fruit) and 7 plants known to be aphrodisiacs. All the ingredients of Lord of Barbès gin are certified organic, having obtained the AB (Organic Farming) label. Very fragrant, the Lord of Barbès Gin, title at 50° because a good gin must be dry. True amateurs will prefer to drink it neat at minus 8 degrees, with a green olive like Winston Churchill, but it is also excellent with tonic or in a cocktail.
• Organic red wine Cuvée Fabre 2018 Côtes-du-Rhône : Cuvée Fabre – AOP CÔTE DU RHONE ROUGE 2018 ORGANIC
  Tasting: This cuvée pays homage to Jean Henri Fabre, entomologist and Provençal felibre, who died in 1915. It comes in a garnet colour, limpid and brilliant. The typical Grenache nose is quite open on ripe red fruits, wild strawberries in particular. We find this fruit in a supple and full mouth, fresh and balanced.

4. Premium soft drinks! Ideal for pregnant women!

  Ritchie Natural Cola: Cola. This sparkling booster sends us straight back to the fifties of rock'n roll with swaying hips and snapping fingers.
