Where to shop online and have it delivered in Brussels during confinement?

If like me, hearing the statistics of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 send shivers down your spine. You probably don't want to go shopping in the hypermarkets and shops in Brussels. Although it is recommended to go out as little as possible, however, you have to go shopping to eat from time to time.

Like many Belgians, you had never thought until now: do my shopping and fill the shopping cart online. Cherry on the cake: " have me delivered at home! » In short, do your shopping without contact and stay at home without taking any risk in the face of illness.

If the idea came to your mind and turned out great, know that every day, thousands of additional Belgians and Brussels residents try to shop online in their favorite store. Delhaize, Carrefour, Colruyt are therefore attacked. It is therefore difficult to succeed in shopping online, especially if you only try one store.

Given the circumstances, you may need to be patient, but also try several brands in order to have your groceries delivered to your home on time. To help you, here is an overview of the supermarkets that allow you to shop online and possibly have it delivered to your home.

1. Shop onlineand at CROSSROADS and have it delivered to your home

 

 

Carrefour offers you the possibility of ordering online in more than 200 stores located almost everywhere in Belgium. To do your shopping online at Carrefour, you will have to pay a €4,5 preparation fee. If you add the products participating in the “Free preparation costs” action to your basket, these costs drop to €0. Crossroads free also at home everywhere in Belgium for €5 extra. If your basket is over €150, delivery and preparation costs are offered. Carrefour indicates on its website that the fpreparation OFFERED during your 1st order (at least until the end of March 2020). 2. Go shopping CORA and have it delivered to your home

Some stores Cora offer the possibility of preparing your shopping and placing the order online (Hornu, Messancy, Rocourt and Woluwe in Brussels). The shopping preparation service is free. As normal, the preparation time is 2 hours. However, in times of COVID19, each Cora offers a longer preparation time. In Brussels, it is possible to have your shopping delivered to your home, via the Cora Drive in Woluwe. For this, you will have to pay a flat rate of €9,95. Attention, only reasonable orders will be prepared.

3. Shop online at Colruyt with COLLECT & GO

Colruyt was the first Belgian retailer to offer this service many years ago. They are therefore well established in terms of Click&Collect and online shopping in more than 200 collection points. You can place an order on the Colruyt website called Collect & Go. You will need to pay 5,50 euros for preparation costs. By purchasing the participating products (for around 20 euros), the preparation costs are offered. Be careful, Colruyt will charge you a deposit of €5 per folding bin used to put your groceries… If you order a lot, it will make the bill more expensive.

Colruyt also delivers on an experimental basis to Brussels in certain municipalities (Kraainem, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Sterrebeek and Wezembeek-Oppem). You will have to pay an extra €9,5 for this. Small tip, although colruyt is known for its "low prices", the prices displayed online are sometimes a little more expensive than in stores. 4. Shop online at DELHAIZE and have it delivered to your home

Delhaize also offers the possibility of shopping online in more than 120 collection points in Belgium. Preparation costs vary depending on the day and time. You pay between 3 to 4,5€ for the preparation of the order. If you buy more than 150€ or if you buy the participating products, the preparation costs are offered to you. You can have it delivered to your home for an additional 8 euros. Also here you can buy the products participating in the action that offer you free shipping. If you opt for delivery, you will need at least a basket of 60€. Attention, you can edit your order after placing it, but you lose the products that would go out of stock. 5. Shop online at INTERMARKET

Here too, it is possible to do these races with an average preparation fee of 4.5€. From 120€ of purchase, the fresh preparation service is offered by Intermarché. Please note, however, that Intermarché does not have no collection points in Brussels. In terms of collection, it's quite fast, Intermarché puts the shopping in your car trunk. The 3 stores are located in Soignies, Estaimpuis and Bois-de-Villers near Namur. Intermarché do not deliver at home. As normal, you can collect your order the same day: eshop.intermarche.be.

 

6. Shop online at Match

Before the COVID19 crisis, you could only place an online order at Match de Jumet. No service fee was charged for this. In this generalized context of CoVid-19, Match has worked hard to provide you with the opportunity to shop safely. They have We wanted focus on ease and efficiency in order to allow limit contacts so for you, who for their employees. Open match a Drive service in 5 other locations in a record time. Note that you may still encounter difficulties and/or imperfections during your shopping experience. But at least you will be able to place an order! 7. Jumbo, Aldi and Lidl

Unfortunately, Jumbo, Aldi and Lidl do not yet offer an online ordering site for food.

8. Shop online at Albert Heijn

You can place an order online in stores with a pick-up point. These are the branches in Ghent, Kontich and Wilrijk. You do not pay service fees, only a deposit of 4€ per box. Take a waiting time into account when ordering. To do your shopping at AH, you will have to do it in Dutch on www.ah.be

 

9. Shop on Amazon!

You may not have gone to Amazon for groceries. But know that Amazon can at least help you with anything non-food. For example, toilet paper, cleaning product, etc.
