In this confinement period, not easy to shop online in Brussels! Meal boxes, as well as online shopping sites are taken by storm. PickNeat, the Belgian meal box already cooked and vacuum-packed!

If you look at the look&Feel on the PickNeat site, you would think that it is a well-established company, started a long time ago. However, one of their founder told us, they have started in early 2020. Quite impressive, to achieve such clarity for a startup!

PickNeat is recent, it looks good… but what is it? Unlike other meal boxes, what attracted us to PickNeat is that it's already ready. The dishes in the box are already cooked for you. In only 3 minutes in the microwave or 15 minutes in the oven et It's ready! However, one of its main features is that PickNeat guides you to a varied diet full of flavors. PickNeat therefore greatly simplifies your life, and gives you a taste of certain dishes that you would not have had time to cook. For example, the cod with mustard sauce.

How does the Belgian PickNeat lunch box work?

Each week, the meal box offers you a choice of 8 recipes varied and homemade. The advantage is that each member of the family can eat a different, freshly cooked dish. Place your order before Wednesday 23:59 p.m., and receive your delivery on Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 18:00 p.m. During our test, PickNeat was right on time, impressive! Deliveries are made everywhere in Wallonia and in Brussels (and surroundings)!

On the price side, the offer is interesting with decreasing prices according to the number of dishes chosen: 4-6-8-10-12 or 14 dishes. What's great is that you can, for example, limit your order to 4 dishes. This is perfect for the day of the week when you and your family won't have time to cook. You can also have them delivered for lunch at the office!

The site operates without long-term commitment. You are absolutely not taken by a subscription. As proof, it is possible to stop in one click. Each week, you choose the number of dishes that appeal to you the most. Over time, their algorithm will build on your previous choices to come up with an ideal menu.

After delivery, thanks to their vacuum preservation method, dishes can be kept for up to 7 days in the fridge. So they stay fresh and full of flavor all the way!

Our opinion on PickNeat: 

During our test, we ordered the cod with mustard sauce, as well as the scampi tagliatelle. We saw directly that the dishes were made with fresh products. The presentation in the tray is itself neat. In terms of taste: nothing to do with supermarket trays. Also, thehe quality at PickNeat is far superior to a dish ordered on Deliveroo. 

To conclude:

• This is definitely an alternative healthy et balanced, du homemade with fresh products
• Cheaper than UberEats and Deliveroo., PickNeat costs between €7 – €10 per dish depending on the number of dishes chosen
• Ideal, if you are short of time: in addition, in 3 minutes, it's ready. No more shopping and washing up pots
