I Shop on Sunday Brussels

You didn't know what to do on Sundays in Brussels? This will make you happy.
The municipal council of Brussels has approved the recognition of the pentagon of Brussels as " tourist area ". If you don't want to visit Brussels, but want to do some for shopping time, you will be delighted.
Thanks to this approval, the stores in the center of Brussels receive a precious sesame making it possible to open shops seven days a week.

On May 24th, the shopping streets of Brussels' historic center will open their doors. The date of May 24th was not chosen at random. It will mark the 20th anniversary of the Brussels Jazz Marathon . Last year on this date, the Belgian capital attracted no fewer than 300.000 visitors.

The sales campaign is codenamed " I shop on Sundays ." The name says it all! Shops on the famous Rue Neuve – known for its shopping – will be exceptionally open on that Sunday. However, it's important to note that this doesn't apply to every Sunday of the month, but only to the first Sunday of each month . The alderman for press and retail clarifies that the "I shop on Sunday" campaign is subject to approval by the Brussels and federal governments.

However, it would seem that the idea does not appeal to everyone… At the municipal council, the opposition expressed the idea that the big brands would be favored over the small traders. A priori, they could not mobilize additional staff so easily to work on a Sunday.
