At the Palais des Indes: From Brussels to Bombay

The month of August is coming to an end and with it the summer holidays, seaside getaways, stays abroad... Fortunately in Brussels we travel all year round thanks to the many restaurants from all over the world that punctuate the landscape of the capital.

On the way to India…in Brussels

You have desires for distant destinations curry taste and bright colors scrunchie ? No need to buy a plane ticket, book a table instead at the Palais des Indes Brussels.
By pushing the door of this restaurant, you cover 7.000 kilometers in the space of an instant: from elegant Avenue louise from the European capital to the oriental charm of India. Odour spices, colorful decoration, crockery tinged with exoticism and benches upholstered in midnight blue velvet for a cozy atmosphere: welcome to the Palais des Indes.
Why the Palace OF India ? Certainly because India  is a very large country (more than 100 times the size of our dear Belgium) which has 29 states and therefore as many different cultures, traditions and languages!

Subtle spice flavors

Once in the Palais des Indes, the boss Angelo welcomes you in French, English or Italian and always with a big smile. The menu will delight all palates: chicken lamb, scampi, fish and vegetarian dishes with aromas more subtle to the spicier! The Palais des Indes has taken the best of Indian cuisine and adapted it to the palates of Europeans. But spice lovers don't worry, on request the chef will warm up your taste buds with peppers and other seasonings. The presence of ladies in sari (the traditional Indian garment) proves the authenticity of the cuisine.

All-you-can-eat Indian buffet in Brussels at the weekend

Notre coup de cœur: the all-you-can-eat buffet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (32€ – August 2015 price). That evening, the Palais des Indes pulled out all the stops: buffet of salads and raw vegetables, vegetarian starters and chicken or lamb samosas, 3 hot dishes (always with the delicious Chicken Tikka Massala  ) and finally an assortment of 5 Indian desserts. What to have a small overview of Indian gastronomy. Don't forget to book your table because the room is often full. Come around 19:30 p.m. to spend an exotic evening alternating between the buffet and discussion in good company. For an à la carte meal, count between 15 and 20 euros for a hearty dish and a drink.
