In a previous article, we already spoke to you stores to buy wine in Brussels. Today, we are particularly interested in true wine lovers who like to consume it in cozy and atypical places.

It’s the end of 2023, Maguie was born in Brussels. If you haven't heard of Maguie yet, it's a natural wine bar nestled in the charming Parvis Saint-Gilles district. Boasting a Klein blue storefront and a black tiled facade, Maguie stands out for its terrace unstructured front, lit by street lamps. Powder pink metal chairs, round wooden shelves and foldable benches create a relaxed atmosphere visible from the outside.

Crossing the large, half-open door, you discover an eclectic interior with an imposing granite bar at the entrance and a relaxed atmosphere. The industrial-style walls add an authentic touch, immediately affirming the friendly character of the place.

At the helm of Maguie are Marlene and Guillaume, a dynamic duo hosted by the passion for good wine. Their selection of living wines, favoring production that is as natural as possible, is in the spotlight. Lively wines, with no or very little added sulphites, are in vogue, and Maguie offers an affordable alternative with wines on tap for only €25, just as delicious.

Maguie's short menu highlights simple but tasty dishes: andouilles from Vire, Tomme de Rouffigny with raw milk, homemade hummus, toasted hazelnuts, spicy caramel mackerel rillettes et green olive tapenade. Each dish is accompanied by delicious sourdough bread from Boulengier. Affordable prices, between 8 and 10 € per plate, allow you to enjoy a pleasant evening without breaking the bank.

Among the must-sees, don't miss 6 open sea oysters No. 3 “La Coutainvillaise” from Father Gus, directly from Normandy, at an irresistible price of €12.

In summary, although Maguie did not invent the concept of the natural wine bar, it offers an address where you can extend the evening, savor delicious small plates at reasonable price, and come back with pleasure.
