Good sports plans in the post-covid period in Brussels

Many Belgians let themselves go during confinement. The Covid has however motivated more than one Brussels athlete to think differently for stay active. Are you one of those who dare not walk through the door of a Brussels gym? Do you like to make the most of the present time? You are not too swimming pools ? This article should interest you because sports activities adapted to our new 'normal life' should delight you.

1. Swedish group lessons in the parks of Brussels

If you like sport and you live in Brussels, it is impossible that you have never heard of at least once Friskis & Svettis ! It's about a sports association from Sweden. Throughout the year, their instructors offer various sporting activities in several districts of the capital: from the European district, to the Forêt de Soignes via the ULB campus in Etterbeek.

After the frustration and isolation of the months of confinement, Friskis & Svettis was eager to move and sweat with you for another year. This year again,  outdoor sessions are therefore free. On the program more than 100 free sessions in July and August 2021.

Their passion: wanting to be in shape and having fun together. If you need some vitamin D, go join them on their sessions in the park. They are even virtually present for a few sessions on Zoom

Where to find them for sports sessions in Brussels:

  • Park of the Woluwe – Meeting point: Rue du Bemel at the “Green Dog” bus stop 36
  • The Tervuren Quatre Bras – Meeting point: Quatre Bras car park in the Foret de Soignes
  • Forest of heal – Meeting point: entrance to the Sports Center – Forêt de Soignes Sport
  • fiftieth anniversary (sessions in the park) – football pitch opposite the Royal Military Academy

Don't forget to bring your towel for the floor exercises, a bottle of water and, of course, your smile! If it's raining, don't miss the Live YOGA (virtual session) every Monday at 8:00 am presented by Lisa.

You have been warned!, the maximum number of participants is limited to each session, so it is absolutely necessary register online.

2/ Avoid Yoga rooms by taking advantage of free Yoga classes in the parks of Brussels

The clothes do not make the man ? Not always! Whether it's for indoor sports, yoga classes in the park, running, or simply to work at home... a new pair of Nikes will give you the fishing! If you don't really have time to go to the mall (or simply) prefer to avoid the big crowds, consider buying on the internet. Shopping online has become super convenient. In general, I always order my sporting goods on Zalando. It's reassuring! Shipping is free… In the event of a problem, we even have up to 100 days to return a product. Moreover, the deliveries are super fast… If on Monday you feel like buying new shoes, two days later they are already delivered at home. If I doubt between two sizes, I take both and return the wrong one as quickly.
