Discover Brussels with a Hop-On/Hop-Off sightseeing bus

En 2020, the STIB (Brussels Intermunicipal Transport Company) and RATP Dev inaugurate something new in Brussels: the first 1% electric “Hop on Hop off” type tourist bus service: TooBus. Initially planned for a launch in 100, it was put in the fridge due to the pandemic. A little later on November 2021, the project resumed and inaugurated the first fleet of 26 electric tourist buses in the world.

Brussels is a veritable open-air museum. Between works of art, the comic strip route, street art and streetfood…there is plenty to do.

What is “TooBus Brussels”?

In short, it's a 100% electric bus that allows you to discover via two routes the wonderful things Brussels has to offer in one day. The principle and hop on & off: get on at any stop and get off wherever you want. This saves you time to see all of Brussels. Equally very practical when it's hot ou let it rain in Brussels.

Our tip is to take a full city tour first and listen to the audio guide. Then take a 2nd tour and hop on and off to see the attractions of Brussels.

The two different on & off circuits in Brussels

1. The Ciruit Rouge: the must see in Brussels.

If you're interested in the best viewpoints in Brussels, jump on the red. This will take you to Place Royale and our favorite viewpoint in Brussels: the Mont des Arts. It is also on this momentum that you will see the Palace of Fine Arts from Brussels, the Sablons district, as well as all the museums located around the Place Royale ( Magritte, Coudenberg Palace , Musical Instruments Museum.) On your way you will also pass by the Horta Museum in Saint-Gilles (a real corner of paradise for Art Nouveau lovers). Once near the Parc du 50aire, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium await you! Also near Place Flagey you can take a leisurely stroll around the ponds of Ixelles and end with theCamber Abbey.

This circuit is ideal. It traces part of our Brussels in one day itinerary.

The blue route takes you past the must-see attractions of Brussels, those that are not usually covered on foot. You will leave from the Saints-Michel-et-Gudule cathedral (where the kings and queens of Belgium marry), you will pass by the Belgian Comic Strip Center, then you will head to more distant parts of Brussels: the botanical garden, place Charles Rogier, basilica of Koekelberg, the church Notre-Dame de Laeken, the royal castle of Laeken and of the Royal Greenhouses, the Atomium... You will then return to the center towards: the Magritte Museum, the square Saint Catherine, le Manneken-pis and the famous Grand Place

The Marolles district will be your favourite. both ancient, vintage, new, colorful mixes where old ones meet Brussels bars as well as typical Brussels breweries in the middle of vintage shops.

Barely a foot in the Belgian capital, Pierre launches "InsideBrussels.be", the idea is simple: "What to do? Where to go eat or have a drink?" Entrepreneur at heart, this is not his first project! Far from there. Like wine, with time the project improves! Pierre does not hesitate to share his favorites and his best addresses of Brussels restaurants that he could recommend to you with his eyes closed.
