Discover Brussels with a Hop-On/Hop-Off sightseeing bus
In 2020, STIB (Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company) and RATP Dev launched something new in Brussels: TooBus, the first 100% electric "hop-on hop-off" tourist bus service. Initially planned for a 2021 launch, it was put on hold due to the pandemic. A little later, on November 26th, the project relaunched, launching the world's first fleet of 100% electric tourist buses.
Brussels is a veritable open-air museum. Between the works of art, the comic strip route , the street art and the street food … there's plenty to do.
What is “TooBus Brussels”?
In short, it's a 100% electric bus that lets you discover the wonderful things Brussels has to offer in a single day via two different routes. The concept is simple: hop on and off. This saves you time and allows you to see all of Brussels. It's also very practical when it's hot or raining in Brussels.
Our tip is to take a full city tour first and listen to the audio guide. Then take a 2nd tour and hop on and off to see the attractions of Brussels.
The two different on & off circuits in Brussels
1. The Ciruit Rouge: the must see in Brussels.
If you're interested in the best viewpoints in Brussels, jump on the red trail. It will take you to the Place Royale and our favorite viewpoint in Brussels: the Mont des Arts. Along the way, you'll also see the Palais des Beaux-Arts ( Palace of Fine Arts ), the Sablon district , and all the museums located around the Place Royale ( Magritte Museum , Coudenberg Palace , Musical Instruments Museum ). On your route, you'll also pass the Horta Museum in Saint-Gilles (a true haven for Art Nouveau enthusiasts). Once you're near Parc du Cinquantenaire, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium await you! Also near Place Flagey, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Ixelles ponds and end your day at La Cambre Abbey.

2. The atypical Brussels Blue Circuit
The blue route takes you past Brussels' must-see attractions, those not usually seen on foot. You'll start at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula (where the kings and queens of Belgium are married), pass by the Belgian Comic Strip Center , and then head towards more outlying parts of Brussels: the Botanical Garden, Place Charles Rogier, Koekelberg Basilica, the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, the Royal Castle of Laeken and the Royal Greenhouses , the Atomium… You'll then return to the city center via: the Magritte Museum, Place Sainte-Catherine, the Manneken Pis , and the famous Grand Place
The Marolles district will be your favorite. A colorful mix of old, vintage , and new, it features old Brussels bars and typical Brussels brasseries amidst vintage shops.
