Where to eat a cheap lunch near the Grand-Place?
Are you visiting Brussels? Then you absolutely must see the Grand-Place! If you happen to be starving around lunchtime, don't just walk into the first restaurant you see without thinking. It could be a real drain on your wallet. To avoid tourist traps, we tested a few restaurants offering reasonably priced lunches near the Grand-Place in Brussels. 1. The ogenblik: an inexpensive gourmet lunch
There are no dishes under €20, the set menu is over €50, but lunchtime is your lucky day. The daily special is around €13 ! For example, chicken supreme with tarragon. Ogenblik is located on the corner of the magnificent Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert. It's one of Brussels' must-visit restaurants. Time seems to have stood still here. For over 40 years, this restaurant has been a meeting place for food lovers and those who appreciate a convivial atmosphere.

2. Good evening Clara: a starter-main course-coffee lunch for 15 EUR.
Inside Bonsoir Clara, a minimalist design features a large, multicolored stained-glass window that complements a gigantic patchwork tapestry. This trendy restaurant doesn't offer a minimalist menu, however, but rather a high-quality one, composed of essential classics and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. At lunchtime, this restaurant offers a set menu of starter, main course, and coffee at an unbeatable price in Brussels: €15 . During our visit, we sampled the following lunch: "Wild boar terrine with cranberry coulis and radish sprouts" as a starter and "Goujonnette of cod breaded in panko, with a stoemp of heritage vegetables in semi-salted butter" as a main course.
It's delicious, this place will soon become on your list of favorite lunch restaurants. Bonsoir clara is located a stone's throw from the main square of Brussels (rue Antoine Dansaert 22-66) As a couple, your partner will appreciate the attention.

3. Cafe de l'opera: cheap lunch in a renowned brasserie
Café de l'Opéra is a renowned brasserie on Place de la Monnaie. It's not usually cheap (16 EUR for the homemade lasagna). However, note that there's a daily special at lunchtime for 12,50 EUR. This restaurant is located on Place de la Monnaie in Brussels. Enjoy the terrace if the weather is nice! In short, the perfect place for an affordable lunch!
4. Smalle steen: a warm and inexpensive brasserie for lunch! (Firm)
A welcoming brasserie located on Steenstraat, 1000 Brussels. Situated right next to the Ancienne Belgique, this restaurant offers daily specials for €8 . A wide selection of dishes around €5 is also available. In short, a great place to eat cheaply near the Grand Place.
